Jamie Carragher believes Tottenham Hotspur deserved the 2nd spot

According to the former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, Tottenham Hotspur deserved to have finalized on a higher position than Arsenal in the Premier League standings as the team of Mauricio Pochettino had a better season but ultimately had to settle with the 3rd place of the top tier English League standings.

“I don’t think the big thing should be finishing behind Arsenal. If you ask me who had better season, I’d say Spurs. They were challenging for the title. At some stage, you thought they could win the league. With Arsenal that went away in February or March. Tottenham have had a better season although the table says Arsenal finished above them. It will leave a bitter taste.” Jamie Carragher said as he voiced his opinion concerning the season of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 2015-16 season of the Premier League has been characterized by a dominant Leicester City as they spent the majority of the season in the top spot while the 2nd and 3rd were being battled by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and it was Arsenal that sealed the 2nd spot as they snatched 1 more point than their rivals.

As a pundit for Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher is consistently voicing his thoughts in relation to anything in the world of football and the former Liverpool player has recently talked about the departure of Roberto Martinez as he was sacked from coaching Everton and Jamie Carragher believes that Manuel Pellegrini should be taken into consideration as a possible coach to take charge of the Premier League side Everton which has recently opened up a managerial position and Carragher is certain that Pellegrini is a viable candidate.

“And what about Mancini? He is a big name with a fine pedigree, who has done well with Inter Milan since leaving Manchester City and he would jump at the chance to work in England again. He might just be ideal.”Carragher said as he praised Pellegrini.
