ARSENAL: CARRAGHER IMPRESSED WITH JESUS IMPACT

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been impressed with the impact of new signing Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal in the opening weeks of this season's Premier League campaign. Jamie Carragher talked about Brazilian star Jesus in a chat with Talk Sports. According to him, Jesus has been the best player in the Premier League this season alongside Manchester City star ErlingHaaland.

Arsenal made a big transfer coup with the signing of Gabriel Jesus. The Gunners paid £45m to secure the signing of the Brazilian attacker from Premier League holders Manchester City. He has impressed a lot of pundits in England including Jamie Carragher.

The influence of Jesus has led Arsenal to the top of the Premier League. They have a one-point lead over defending champions Manchester City and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The Gunners have won six of their seven league games this season to record 18 points, while the duo of Spurs and Manchester City have won five and drawn two of their seven league games for a total of 17 points.
Jesus has four goals and three assists in seven Premier League games this season. He failed to score on his Arsenal debut on the competitive front after the Gunners began the season with a 2-0 away win over Crystal Palace in a London Derby clash. Jesus scored his first pair of goals for Arsenal with a brace plus two assists during the 4-2 home win over Leicester City as the Gunners made it two straight wins at the start of the season. In the third Arsenal game of the season, Jesus provided an assist for the second Arsenal goal on the way to a 3-0 away win over newly promoted side Bournemouth. Jesus didn't score in the fourth Arsenal game in the league as they beat Fulham 2-1 at home after conceding the first goal to continue their perfect start. The Gunners made it five wins from five games via the 2-1 home win over Aston Villa with Jesus getting the first goal.
Gabriel Jesus didn't score during the 3-1 defeat at Manchester United in the sixth league game of the season for the Gunners. The Brazilian returned to scoring form with the second Arsenal goal during the 3-0 away win over Brentford in the London Derby clash played on Sunday.
