LIVERPOOL MUST SIGN A NEW DEFENDER

English champions Liverpool have to sign a new central defender according to one of their former players, Jamie Carragher. The 42-year-old has been a pundit with Sky Sports since he retired from football and he believes that the signing of a new centre back will boost Liverpool in their bid to retain the Premier League title they won last season.

Manchester United have been advised to get rid of star midfielder Paul Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola after the comments from the latter about the future of his client at Old Trafford. Mino Raiola infuriated the Manchester United faithfuls when he said that it's over for Pogba at the club. When asked for his opinion on the comments, Liverpool legendsaid that he has been warning the Red Devils to get rid of Paul Pogba. Jamie Carragher was asked about Pogba and Mino Raiola while he was on Sky Sports. According to JamieCarragher, Paul Pogba is the most overrated player ever as he urged Manchester United to offload him without blinking.


The comments from Mino Raiola came while Manchester United were preparing for their biggest game of the season, an away match at German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in Group H of the Champions League. Manchester United needed to draw the gameat least to qualify for the next stage as it was their final action in the group that has been labelled the Group of Death in the Champions League this season. In the end, Manchester United lost 3-2 to RB Leipzig during their meeting on Tuesday night and that led to their exit from the competition. Manchester United were close to completing a magnificent comeback during the game after they had trailed 3-0 into the second half of the game courtesy the goals from Angelino, AmadouHaidara and substitute Justin Kluivert.

JAMIE CARRAGHER ADVISES KLOPP TO DROP FIRMINO

Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to drop Roberto Firmino in favor of their new signee Diogo Jota. over the weekend, Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp decided to start Firmino, Jota, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane in their match against Manchester City. Salah got the first goal in the first half of the game before Gabriel Jesus equalized and the point was shared between the two teams.

It was another poor night for Firmino as he has not been instrumental to the reds all season long. Firmino in all competition has only scored just one goal and made two assists in 11 appearances for the Reds while the new player, Jota, has had seven goals already in just 9 appearances for the club.
Jota got his first hat trick for Liverpool FC in a 5-0 win against the high scoring Serie Aside Atalanta in the Champions League group stages matches. Firmino has since been under pressure for not performing alongside Salah and Mane. Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool defender, has now urged the coach to drop not in form forward for the club's summer signing Jota.
